‘Cobra Kai’ actress Mary Mouser, 26, thinks her gray hairs are ‘so sexy’: ‘I love them’

Cobra Kai actress Mary Mouser is embracing her curls – gray hair and all. In an interview with Shape, the 26-year-old actress revealed that she’s been covering up “a lot” of gray hair to play the 17-year-old character in the martial arts comedy.

Gray hair can be a touchy subject for many women due to the stigma surrounding aging, but Mouser is confident in her gray hair.

“It’s just in my hair’s genes,” she says.

To keep her curls healthy, she says she washes it with conditioner (co-wash) and tries to avoid heat, which is easier said than done in her line of work.

“Sometimes I don’t have a choice in the matter,” she says.

She goes on to explain that she considers her gray hair to be the epitome of beauty and finds a certain playfulness in her gray hair. “I love them [my gray hair]. I think they’re beautiful. I think they’re sexy. I think it’s hot,” she says.

Looking in the mirror and noticing that a head of gray hair seems to have appeared out of nowhere is not a harbinger of age for Mouser, but rather a symbol of confidence and assertiveness.

“When I saw a new head of gray hair appear on me, I was like, oh my God, I feel like myself today,” she says.

In addition to her confidence, Mouser enjoys her healthy habits.

To prepare for her role as Samantha LaRusso, she took up a full-body combat sport, Muay Thai, and even when she’s not filming, she keeps up a martial arts-focused practice.

“Even in my off-season, it’s something I stick to …… It’s fun and therapeutic for me at this point.”
